Pre-Cancer Body Screening - $99
In-office skin cancer screenings, as well self-skin exams, are an important piece of early detection. At a skin cancer screening appointment we will visually examine your skin for signs of melanoma or non melanoma skin cancer (basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma) and pre-cancerous growths (actinic keratoses). Sometimes, a skin biopsy or treatment of pre-cancerous growths may be performed at this time and are not included in the $99 screening cost.
Skin Treatments for Sun damage
Actinic keratosis (AK) is the most common type of precancerous skin lesion. An AK is evidence that sun damage has occurred and means you are at greater risk of developing skin cancer. The more AKs that are untreated, and the older these lesions are, the greater the chance that one or more may turn into squamous cell carcinoma.
Levulan Kerastick® “Photo Dynamic Therapy” (PDT) is an excellent treatment for AKs. Levulan is applied to the AK. Afterward, the skin is exposed to a Blue light or an IPL Laser (Intense Pulsed Light). A reaction occurs which helps destroy the AK. There is an excellent cosmetic response with no scarring reported. Treatment often includes regions such as the face, back, or arms.
SunScreens - UV Protection
For a range of skin types and needs, visit us for the best medical grade sunscreens providing daily protection from the sun and help prevent ultraviolet exposure which can cause cancer and reduce skin aging. Using a broad-spectrum sunscreen-SPF 30 or higher together with a comprehensive sun protection program, including wearing sun protective clothing, hats, sunglasses, and avoiding the sun between the hours of 10am - 2pm, may help reduce the risk of premature skin aging.

Most serious forms of Melanoma can be detected by using the ABCDE warning signs. Discovery of Melanoma is time-sensitive and should be urgently removed. Look at your moles keeping these factors in mind:
-
Asymmetry – Is one half a different shape or size than the other side?
-
Border – Does the mole have an irregular or uneven border?
-
Color – Are any of your moles unusually colored, or have they changed color recently?
-
Diameter – Are your moles larger than 2 mm, which is about the size of a pencil eraser?
-
Evolving – Do you have moles that are new or that have changed significantly?
< Seborrheic keratoses are benign, non-invasive growths commonly found on the skin.
Spot it to Stop it
