To Botox or Not To Botox

Botox is one of the leading treatments today for anti aging. It has gained much success over the years by helping men and women reduce facial lines and wrinkles. The classic uses includes treatment of Glabella "frown" lines as well as "Crows Feet". Botox reduces the activity of the muscles that cause facial lines to form overtime.

But are there other options? You bet.

Juvéderm, Restylan®, Radiesse and other fillers including Fat Grafting are all solutions for adding youthfulness to your skin and face with immediate results.

Juvéderm adds volume to the lips, cheeks and other facial areas. We will administer Juvéderm® gel under the skin to restore volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, often used for smile lines, furrowed brown, forehead and lips. The newest formulation of Juvéderm, contains lidocaine, which gives instant results and potentially reduces the need for further anesthetic procedures.

Restylane® often used to plump the lips can effectively add a fuller, more sensual look to your lips. This safe and effective treatment provides immediate results. Restylane® aides in rejuvenating the skin and restoring its fullness to create a younger, more brilliant appearance. Restylane® is well tolerated, produces very natural looking results, and will show results for approximately six months.

Radiesse® is the only dermal filler available composed of calcium-based microspheres, and has been shown to stimulate the natural production of collagen, for results that may last up to a year or more in many patients.

Radiesse® is commonly used for enhancing cheek volume, and smoothing smile lines (also called nasal labial folds), marionette lines, corners of the mouth (if these are turned downward it can make you look as though you\’re frowning), pre-jowl fold (the area on either side of the chin, where skin can sag due to loss of facial volume), and chin wrinkles (horizontal lines that can form on your chin and distract from your smile).

Fat Transfer or Fat Grafting is done to increase the volume in areas such as the cheeks, lips, breasts, and buttox Fat transfer can also help reduce the appearance of pitted acne scars. While results are long-lasting, they should not be considered permanent.
